Standing on a street corner across river from Westminster... not hearing any calls to prayer Ellie. Never have in London. Ever. No-one is being attacked, no groups of people of any faith - not one individual - is visibly praying or holding up traffic. Possible you're a bit nuts?https://twitter.com/achievechange/status/1015722010977165312 …

I'm pretty sure this is more about being a bigoted bot/troll than their mental health.

Yes, nuts as in nutso views. Altho all the pathological lying & delusion may be indicative of a wider, collective insanity among certain sectors. Im certainly not conflating bigotry & poor mental health but it seems unlikely there isnt a correlative (not causative) relationship

I really think this is somebody impersonating (badly) a British person.

The thing about mental health is that conditional on low MH you can't conclude bigot. But sure conditional on bigot you probably can conclude low MH. That's an important difference and not "just correlation".

Think about smoking. Most smokers aren't suffering from lung cancer. Most people will lung cancer though are probably (ex) smokers. Big difference which we're talking about.

Yes, at no point was I suggesting the inverse. I tend to assume a certain implicit understanding WRT to that, especially as someone with a long personal and family history of MH issues; honestly didnt occur to me that anyone would see it the other way, but that's my bad!

Aint that the truth. Twitter has always been fucked up, troubling thing is that the real world seems to be catching up to it *fast*. Shit is getting really weird in the world right now... And as unfeasible as it feels, I suspect its going to keep getting weirder for some time...
