Here's an overly futaristic approach. Everyone has an ID linked to their phone. And you can scan people nearby. The person that was guilty of harassing can be scanned nearby. Found. And then reported to the police. I guess the point is having your phone be your passport & ID card

Seems open to abuse.

I knoww just thinking aloud to make it easier for the victim and harder for the criminal
-
The criminal can scan you and get your name and stalk you more.
-
Very true and so this method is problematic but the idea was more to start to think about what could be done? in the states my female friend said that around a bad neighbourhood she was sexually harassed and if she would complain she would get herself in even more trouble. Sad

Believe women.
-
Yes but I think one shouldn't underestimate how stressful, complicated and time consuming it is to go police station every time something happens.
-
I've done it. I'm a DV survivor. Police aren't perfect and I was lucky. He believed me, he even cried.

Also what area of London was this in? Rough area?
-
On Euston Road.
-
What do you mean by rough area? Highest street crime is Central London.
-
Here is a map you can change the area and crime if you are curious. https://www.police.uk/city-of-london/cp/crime/violent-crime/+ckWaBo/ …
-
Yes I've seen this before and very fascinating for me because I grew up in Tottenham which was a dangerous in the sense that theft from young people onto other young people was common. In central London I never had this experience as a young person.

Terrible. The sad thing is I have female friends that have told me that there's not much they could do. Would they have enough time to call the police? And it's a stressful and long process reporting such incidents. I wonder if there could be an easier way to report this?
-
Sadly I don't think this can realistically be reported. It's a crime but I have no idea how the police can go about catching this person without CCTV.
-
Of course it can be reported and it should. The decision to do so should never be based on perception of a ability to solve the crime. Reports lead to funding support !

I literally want to hurt whoever that is, my body tensed up just reading that.
-
I stared at the woman and her friend and waited to check they were OK while we all crossed the street. I didn't want to talk or say anything because I was going to say something really extreme I think. So I waited and they were OK and they went in a diff direction to the guys.
