SOON!!

It's been a roller-coaster today. In the morning shouting and crying to demand it to be fixed after being given only 30 minutes warning he'd arrive then many emails begging... More than 5 things wrong that allowed them back in, confirmed by the sewage expert and exterminator.

-
Oh crivens, I am so sorry to read that!
-
Hey at least I managed to survive two people on separate occasionswalking through my kitchen who'd literally put their hand in the sewer!

-
Also! Hey it's opportunistic builders in the UK! Obviously they make you cry!
-
I was crying because I remembered what we had to do on Friday night to a rat that was trapped but very much not dying.

Watch out for slugs. They love them.
-
They do! I'm going to pot these so hopefully it's going to help! Otherwise I guess lead/bronze (?) tape? Does that work?

-
I think copper tape is the standard one. Gets expensive if you have more than a pot or two. I have good luck standing the pot in a saucer of water which provides a moat and also means they don't dry out (they are thirsty beasts).
-
Ahhh! That's a good idea I will be reactive though as it's in a lightwell so walls on all four sides might stop them?
-
Looks like they are sitting on gravel which is also a deterrent. I wouldn't be too worried but keep an eye out for tell-tale holes in leaves. If you see it then look around for the beasties, e.g. on bottom of outside of pot or inside between soil and wall.
-
My top tip is to not mind too much about a few holes! I'm only worried if a young plant is being decimated so puts it at risk.
-
They're on slate chippings, yes.

Snails are cuter so they get an emoji!
-
