If somebody writes a blog post about work they did with two co-authors and doesn't mention them by name at all, isn't that like really quite strange borderline rude and/or a sign of some deeper issue...? Or is that just me?

Related question: Is it rude to give a talk on a research project for which you had significant help from others yet use only singular first-person? "I did this... I found that..." I was advised to swap out "we" for "I" bc "we" makes it sound like I can't do research by myself.

I find it easier to use "We" even when I've done most of the work myself. At least for me work is never in isolation, and you get influenced by so many things, so it would be odd to take sole credit.

It's a bit different for men in MSN cases.

Not MSN.
Many! See this for example:https://twitter.com/hardsci/status/1004935365701001217?s=19 …Olivia Guest | Ολίβια Γκεστ added,
Sanjay Srivastava @hardsciGentle suggestion: Don't be that clueless dude who's like "call me Bob" and thinks he's being casual when there's zero risk your students will forget you're in charge. In settings where your women/minority/etc. colleagues ask to be called Professor, insist on it for yourself too https://twitter.com/uomatters/status/1004931957401063425 …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

LOL I understood what you meant, despite not knowing how MSN (microsoft network?) was related to the point. Yes, I was advised to use "I" instead of "we" as advice given to women in science. I couldn't get myself to do it for collab projects, but did use "I" for specific analyses

Yeah, I got you. I can totally see both sides here. I don't even know what I say, probably "I" for stuff I did on my own, like say the coding, and "we" for the more general stuff. I am just guessing though.
