Agreed. In the Netherlands there is a habit of writing “Mrs. Dr.” in formal letters, which I dislike personally. My gender is / should be irrelevant for my professional title.

It's only academia that uses titles. Even though I've had lots of people on my projects with PhDs, no one ever used other than first names. IDK enough to say if good or bad, just an observation.
