Please Retweet! Anyone know of good online courses for learning R or Matlab - any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm also broke, so free courses are nice.

As a many year user of Matlab - don't learn Matlab. Python will serve you much better (and if you learn it you can do Matlab too). I'm still trying to switch to Python but its like a drug you know you shouldn't use.

Could either of you elaborate a little on the benefits of Python? I learned R first and transitioned okay to MATLAB, but Python has been a trainwreck for me to be honest. Just trying to run Jupyter notebooks from Github...
