When will my wife who works as a full-time carer for our special needs children be acknowledged by Govt for the tireless, thankless WORK that she does? Dont talk about equality & equal pay for women if youre not prepared 2 acknowledge the scores of women out there such as my wife

Disability & the plight of parents caring for special needs children & disabled adults may not be a popular vote grabbing topic but that doesn't lessen the urgency nor does it look good when this effects scores of mothers throughout the country. You can't have it both ways.

It's time these mothers were classified as fulltime working mothers, paid as such and afforded the dignity of being able to go to their bank with their head held high and tick the box as a WORKING CARER not unemployed. Basic Income for carers.

Do the right thing Labour & Greens. Acknowledge ALL working women - that includes mothers such as my wife otherwise your campaign in my eyes would prove to be selective rather all encompassing and therefore prejudicial in its own right. @jacindaardern @JulieAnneGenter
