Will you build state houses? - a great opportunity to build modern, eco-friendly, social housing that will secure the legacy of a caring government, just as those state houses Michael Savage built.

The difference is that the Nats sell the land off for some developer to build cheap shit housing and make a huge profit. Doesn't do much for the people that can't afford housing and drives up the rental market.

I love how the "righties" have all the answers. So we move poor people out, make some quick cash, then build state housing where it isn't in demand? Sounds logical...it's a capitalists dream! "Screw everyone else, what's in it for me!?"

Brilliant. It's key to addressing poverty, transience, instability, and the rampant rental market. Thank you.

Selling state houses was one of the stupidest things the last government did. Sell housing and put people in motels. 'Delivering for NZers'. Give me strength.

The houses sold were generally to social housing providers to provide specialist housing for those in need. They stayed in the social housing pool and money was reinvested in more social house . But @nzlabour don’t like the truth

Awesome. Could never understand why the government was selling houses off while people are sleeping in cars. Thanks Labour.
