So raising incomes is a bribe, but cutting taxes isn’t? I guess it’s all a matter of perspective.

One approach empowers the tax payer to make their own economic decisions the other makes them dependent on the state. #socialism

Sorry, but I don’t think the welfare of society’s most vulnerable should be left to the whims of those more fortunate. I won’t bother explaining why - you either get it or you don’t.

9yrs of neglect?! That’s a bit strong isn’t it? Didn’t the latest stats show poverty is coming down due to the work of National?

As someone who has done research with at risk and vulnerable children and families it is refreshing to have a Government that is TRULY committed to helping this sector of the population. Well done Labour, and thank you.

Fantastic News for Family’s with children and pensioners. But still a hugh nothing for the sick 🤒 and people living in severe poverty with debilitating disabilities unless the euthanasia law is for those people.

I like how you're giving a $700 winter energy payment per couple on super, but only if they're in the country for the winter. Wise decision. We'll really appreciate that $700 here in East Otago. Thank you.

This is wonderful news for so many people who have been struggling for years to afford the basics in life, like a roof over their heads and food on the table. So refreshing to have a government that truly cares about the less fortunate.
