Why must you cut funding for KidsCan?

The funding cut was already planned under National. Labour has simply not reversed that cut. Perhaps they should reverse it, but the funding cut is hardly Labour's idea.
-
Labour & ardern has come in all guns blazing that it will reduce child poverty. It has an opportunity to fund KidsCan but decides not to. If the PM is so hell bent on saving the kids then this would’ve been a great start.
-
The final funding decision has not been made. Nats funding had a termination date. So more accurately you could say National cuts off funds to Kidscan. Using Steven Joyce logic, if Labour continues funding that would be a massive increase in funding.
-
Forget about what National said or did or didn’t do. They’re not in government, labour is. It looks suspicious when your leader spouts about eradicating child poverty, then does NOT attempt to keep funding going to a charity for children in poverty. She’s full of shit.
-
I don't know where people go the idea that she said she'd eradicate child poverty. That would be an extremely stupid thing to claim. I'm just saying, this decision was made before Labour was in charge. They should change that decision, but it's wrong to say it's their decision.

Listen to the actual video. The headline says that, but the actual content is about trying to reduce the issue. Whatever the case, hope they do fund Kiscan. It would be a good idea for them to bring back funding there.
