They sell off houses in areas of over-supply. Makes sense.

Has anyone done the mathematics about how many hotel stays it will take before it would have cheaper to provide the state housing?

Not to mention the disruptive cost of a family not having a steady home.

How ridiculous, it's time to put National in the history books with the chapter titled " Good Riddance " 😠

Nothing to do with it. Many state houses were ripped down because of decades of neglect. That includes you, Labour.

Some houses they demolished in the Hutt could have easily been refurbished & fixed up but govt wanted to sell land to it's speculator mates

No, they couldnt of. Many had rot in the structure. It would have cost more to repair that rebuild.

Housing and jobs will be a big issue these coming elections---spending $$$$ on motels is no solution to what National have done.
