Hey, @nzlabour, did you actually mean to ditch preferential voting on flag choices?
-
-
@nzlabour@publicaddress So you want people to vote for something without knowing what they're voting for? -
@KeriHenare@publicaddress If majority vote to change flag, most favoured flag in 1st ref will go up against current flag in 2nd referendum. -
@nzlabour@publicaddress It's not just about changing the flag. It's about changing the flag too something. -
@lostarcnz You mean the tweet I replied directly to? -
@KeriHenare Yeah, the one that answered your question. -
@lostarcnz It was a statement, not a question. And if Labour's tweet had answered it, I'd not have said it.

@nzlabour referendum needs to be FPP. STV will bias in favour of Lockwood flags as any competitor effectively needs double the vote. -
@BevanMcCabe needs to be STV, if ppl prefer Fern to RedFlag then it should be Fern. You don't want to win by using undemocratic FPP -
@kahuranginp@BevanMcCabe@nzlabour Fern flags too similar for STV to be fair. FPP in this case othewise it's too biased. -
@DanielRosePhoto@BevanMcCabe@nzlabour Fern flags too similar for FPP to be fair. STV in this case otherwise it’s too biased. -
@DanielRosePhoto@BevanMcCabe@nzlabour If 60% prefer Fern to 40% for Red, then Fern it should be and what STV would give. -
@DanielRosePhoto@BevanMcCabe@nzlabour You appear to want Red Flag to win even with only minority support?
