Messi has given so much joy over the years and arguably the best ever, so well deserved. Congrats Argentina, well played Brasil. Jogo Bonito.

Huge bottlenecks are actually a good thing. In the coloquial sense, constraints breed innovation. And in the literal sense, of course, you get more throughput. Few understand this.

Excited to announce... I wrote a book!
A lot of engineering leaders worked to be best engineer they could be… and then we were promoted. It's tough to transition roles.
I wrote the book I wish I had when I started leading teams.https://www.engmanagement.dev/ Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo -

Few things in life are more pleasant than getting rid of circular dependencies and turning on a lint step to prevent them in the future

TIL about `patch-package` as a way of applying patches to modules in your `node_modules` and I'm pleasantly horrified that it existshttps://github.com/ds300/patch-package …

Put me down for unimpressed with GH copilot https://copilot.github.com/ e.g. the fetch_tweets example code doesn't escape user input Looks like it might be nifty for some very specific cases, but then you'd have to audit the code Makes me skeptical it'll be practical…

So I'd listen to say, Alison Brie in BoJack, and my brain would almost immediately go "That's a voice I know!", and usually what follows is drawing blanks as to where I heard that voice before until eventually I stumble upon the match ("ah! it's Alison Brie!")

It’s like I have a database of one-way voice hashes and when I listen to a voice, my brain is like “the hash for that voice matches a hash in our database!” and then I can efficiently brute-force my database until I figure out what the match was.
