We asked people from around the world to compare their health care system with the American system. “Skin to skin after a C-section is $39,” says a woman in Japan, reading from a U.S. medical bill. “You need to pay money to hold a baby?” https://nyti.ms/3sUd7nL pic.twitter.com/z30LpI3dqV

seems like all the worker level people could be paid the same amount for the same job by the government. The only people who would be taken out of the loop are the billionaire owners who do nothing. That alone would be a significant cost savings..

I would love to live and work in the United States, but this is the reason why I and so many others don't. This is absolutely insane; beyond insane.

I absolutely would not recommend immigrating to the US. "Coming for the opportunities" is a fancy way to say you're gambling. The rare minority of people who come here succeed. After that, even if you're from here, it's a roll of the dice. We tolerate it because it's all we know.

My youngest child arrived early as their mother was about to climb into a hospital bed. NO ONE was watching and I had to literally catch our baby before he slipped to the tile floor. We went home the next day. And the hospital charged Anthem $18k for it.

Yeah, well we're never going to change it ever because this is a vile country that doesn't care how many people it kills whether that's in needless wars or a pandemic. The most important question is: "will our oligarchs make money??" Misery is an "unfortunate" side effect.
