It is really hard to believe that a journalist had conveyed such poor arguments to defend a product... I have no words...pic.twitter.com/0KD13j6rTI

The Royal Society of Both Science and Medicine didn’t allow women members for centuries. Wise women and midwife had mostly an oral tradition through the same era. Those that write history do so in a way that appeals to their POV. How is that not easy to understand?

The authors of this text are twisting words and meanings.

Or uncoiling words and meanings. Code shifting your point of view is healthy. Be skeptical even of skeptics.

Brace yourself, Elisa, the lynch mob is coming. Thankfully the online "skeptic" community is about as intimidating as the Bronie community, with only a fraction of their social skills. Nice work on the article!

Definitely hit a raw nerve with the agressive mansplanning. I thought so much of this article was on the mark. Plenty of cultural bias in online science culture that isn’t as real as they like to think. Visible part of an iceberg easily tipped.

Man splaining? Medicine is medicine. People are victims of woo. Sometimes just money, sometimes their health, sometimes their lives. It’s not misogynistic to want women to receive proper medical care.

Interesting article--the part about midwives was bang on. I was fascinated to link through to the study about Reiki; I've never tried it, but when my SIL was being treated for cancer in the UK, she was offered complementary therapies inc. Reiki and acupuncture, and it helped.
