Ranked choice (also known as preferential voting) is a superior system compared to the winner-take-all system, therefore, the US will never adopt it.

Some good news for you: It’s already been implemented in Maine, and we’re going to have a ballot question on it in Massachusetts next year. And, in fact, RCV is used in various levels of government in more than 20 states. It’s the future!
