George W. Bush, who lost the popular vote, carried Florida by 537 votes, won the Electoral College and became the 43rd president with a key assist by the Supreme Court. https://nyti.ms/2Me4YWd pic.twitter.com/EHRSrLqBIM

Voters are now realizing that they have crossed into the twilight zone: citizens of America without full citizenship rights. The right to vote is central to American democracy. “It’s preservative of all rights,” the Supreme Court said in 1886. https://nyti.ms/2Me4YWd pic.twitter.com/ItKpDGe3xP

Consider the brutal clarity of Paul Weyrich, a founder of the Heritage Foundation and the American Legislative Exchange Council, which eventually helped write voter suppression legislation that spread like a cancer across the country https://nyti.ms/2Me4YWd pic.twitter.com/RYlOLTvRtZ

The lesson from 2000? Lie often. Say the lies loud and with pride. Lie over and over and over. Lie without shame. Lie until the truth is drowned out, dead. Lie until no amount of evidence could convince anyone otherwise. Read on, from @ProfCAndersonhttps://nyti.ms/2Me4YWd

I only want American citizens to vote. Allowing other countries to vote means we open the doors to foreign interference. How is that racist?

Anti-abortion laws make no honest sense. The *abortion is murder* claim is absurd. "You made your bed" is self-righteous arrogance. Anti-abortion law is power to degrade women & strip them of their rights. It exists to force women to carry children for men against their will.
