A woman who was raped by an armed security guard when she was a teenager was awarded $1 billion in damages. Her lawyers believe it is, by far, the largest jury verdict ever awarded in the U.S. in a sexual assault case.https://nyti.ms/2KRtBHS

1,000 million dollars? That's 1,000,000 x $1,000... Or one million thousand dollar bills! She can buy a whole African country with that and build modern schools all over it. We're just sayin'. (It will surely be overturned. Who's the defendant? General Motors?)

Of course. I was just hugely exaggerating for effect. Still, with a billion dollars, one could impact the African future. Africa will come of age, sooner rather than later, roaring like a lion.

One. Billion. Dollars. Wow. Highest. Ever. This jury sent quite a message to corporate America.

One billion dollars for a ruined life. For a child attacked by an adult. It's a start.
