If Ron Howard can save “Solo,” it would cement his reputation for unflappability and show he can succeed at any scale, in any genrehttps://nyti.ms/2IBZ04c

It looks predictable I don't have a good feeling about this ... I think Disney needs to slow it's roll with flooding the market with Star Wars films.. Every character doesn't need a movie..

Solo is going to be bad as long as Disney keeps churning out soulless junk and slapping Star Wars stickers on it.

Much as I love Ron Howard, he fell so short with In the Heart of the Sea. It's a fantastic book, and there was so much left out that could have been included, and had a great, yet underused cast, especially Cillian Murphy.

The guy who wrote the Rolling Stone review sounds like a total, unnecessarily-rude douche. Ron mostly likely saved it, can’t wait to see it!

It’ll also prove that Star Wars is a mammoth franchise and it’s fan will see every film released regardless of director.

Press gives directors too much credit for these. Same for Marvel. It’s essentially meaningless.

Well that’s my point. Can Howard be given credit for monetary success of SOLO if fan base is so steadfast abt taking in everything SW?
