His severe brain lesions have caused seizures, an inability to control emotions, and significant memory loss. After 2 biopsies and multiple MRIs, doctors still can’t figure out what’s going on. Have you heard of these symptoms?https://nyti.ms/2GHouHL

Let me get this straight, you’re crowdsourcing a medical diagnosis from the general public?

My stepmother had multiple sclerosis develop in only her frontal lobe which is quite unique. Severe mood swings, mental disturbances, seizures, numbness, slowed cognition. They’d need a spinal tap to confirm, though hers was inconclusive for a long time until they tracked progression

She also had biopsies that couldn’t confirm either. It was only after tracking lesion progression that they realized it was an atypical form of MS and she sought treatment at the Cleveland Clinic. Onset of symptoms was when she just turned 46.

Since I've spend 14 years watching Grey's Anatomy and grew up with family members who have every medical issue this makes me a medical professional, right? So my completely educated guess is CTE

Damn, my quota of free articles ran out. I must say, however, that I respect paywalls. Good journalism costs a lot of money and journalists, like all college grads, need to pay off student loans. #nytimes

I feel like the seizures are creating the cascade of the other symptoms. Figure out what’s causing the seizures and I predict the other symptoms may subside. Look at something chemical, metabolic, or even electrical. I am officially interested.pic.twitter.com/8AuR2lY9E3
