What they did was wrong. But why did he invite this incident by parking in 2 handicap parking spots? You just don't do that, man

It’s was 2 am. The lot was empty. Not great, but don’t think you need 4 cars with lights flashing for that.

Write him a ticket and leave. If you think he’s intoxicated, test him. Aside from that, leave him the fuck alone.

Resist and get spanked. Tired of people thinking they dont have to obey the law and blaming the cop for enforcing it. Should beat his ass too.

Wish the lede didn’t focus on ‘an NBA player’ when that has nothing to do with the incident or issue, but I guess that may be why many will care.

It’s interesting because the officers end up later recognizing him and apologize for not recognizing him at first

Even if he was not an NBA player, he would still deserve a fair treatment everyone else should have. He was mistreated by this officers and whatever his career is, is irrelevant and a distraction. When a malpractice happens the officer in question should be facing consequences.

PD’s across US don’t help themselves when they allow treatment of minorities as potential criminals. The job’s hard, nobody disputes it, but that can’t be excuse to hide racism & discrimination. If these are truly “bad apples” kick them out. Otherwise your whole force is suspect.

His position in the NBA should be irrelevant, this is wrong whether you're a celebrity or not. Props to Sterling for not making it a celebrity thing. He handled things perfectly and perfectly illustrated the flaws in our police force.
