Is there anything more American than having to start a gofundme account to pay for your healthcare after your wife/insurance policy holder gets killed in a school shooting??

Fucks me up that people will crowdfund someone else's treatment but dont want to pay taxes to offer universal health care.

Medicare. For. All. Everyone’s income taxes goes up 3%, and everyone gets healthcare. Just one example. The hard part is fighting those making bank over the system we have now.

By everyone you mean the minority of people already paying taxes to support others. If they could reallocate 3% of what they already take I’d be fine with that.

You don’t get something for nothing: either pay more and get healthcare, or take away the equivalent from somewhere else - you choose where & convince others. It’s doable, and you wondered how. This is one way. Seems cheap to me for the whole USA to have healthcare.

I mean my healthcare was great before Obamacare, it’s still manageable now. I just don’t think I should be forced to help someone else. That’s why I like the gofundme approach.

We already do. Even b4 Obamacare, insured subsidized the uninsured by the amounts we were charges f/health svc. If u got yr health insurance thru an employer, u were subsidized by yr co. Thru my property taxes I also, once again, subsidize healthcare f/others.
