Unfortunately, GOP voter turnout was still significantly higher today. We still have a lot of work to do before November! Now is the time to get energized and get to work. 👍😃

There were also significantly more candidates running on the GOP side, to be fair, so more voters on that side are likely more opinionated. There may be a runoff vote for the GOP, which will just make things more complicated for them.

And Stacey Abrams has a damn good shot at becoming governor. Affirming news in bleak times.

I'm 57, a white male in south Georgia & I JUST voted for @staceyabrams for governor. I voted for her not because she's a female or because she's black, but because she is THE best candidate... but being on the right side of history feels pretty damn good. https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/21/politics/women-running-for-governor-stacey-abrams/index.html …

She’ll lose in a landslide not because she’s black, but because she has no good ideas.

If she loses, it will be because rural GA would rather have an @NRA bootlicker like @CaseyCagle or @BrianKempGA than someone who cases about more than just white male gun owners.

Dems are electing candidates that look like America, the Georgia GOP is picking btwn all White men, 2 of whom are trying to be the biggest racist w/competing Deportation of Latino, African & Arabic immigrants Truck & Bus ads. It’s 2018, not 1958. Georgia can reflect that in Nov.

How insane is that—not only do they not feel embarrassed to think that way, they actually paid money to publicize their views. Can’t wait to see @teamabrams kick some serious racist GOP butt this fall!! Go #TeamAbrams !

Pretty much. One of them is jumping on me for not supporting White privilege & the belief that Americans of Color haven’t earned anything in America. They have no shame in their game, 😂
