Amy McGrath, once a Marine fighter pilot, stunned the establishment favorite to win the Democratic primary in Kentucky's 6th District. Another sign of strength for women candidates.https://nyti.ms/2GHEEAP

Democratic Veterans like Amy McGrath are a major key in the Democratic Party re-capturing the hearts and votes of working class whites. Job well done! Congratulations Major McGrath!! 🌊🌊🌊

Thrilled for Amy, but for the record, the “establishment candidate” was an openly gay man. I was so pleased and proud to have diverse options to choose from in this primary (contrary to what coastal elites may think of us down here in Ky.) 😉

IF the @GOP is not shaking in its boots now, it should be. She won due to massive rural turnout in what used to be a very red state. Establishment Dems should also take note: Voters don't want your lofty intellects, they want real people who care about people & country

Huh... this is a democratic PRIMARY it is NOT the general election. Why is this being touted as such a big deal? I don’t know her and she’s probably a great person. I’m just not understanding how this is making such big news. Just sayin’

Both Gray and McGrath would have been formidable opponents of Barr. It should be noted that teachers in KY are taking back our state. It will be glorious!! Go Amy! This Georgetown neighbor supports you!!

More like a sign of antiestablishment sentiment among voters. Nothing to do with what’s between their legs. It’s the same reason Hillary Clinton lost. She was the establishment candidate, Trump was not. Establishment endorsement is a liability in both parties..

The person she was running against is an openly gay mayor.... I wouldn’t exactly call him part of the establishment. But don’t worry, I get it, you trumpkins love bringing up Clinton at every chance you get...
