Like so many other students, these teenagers in rural Kentucky pushed for gun control. People called them "spoiled brats." Friends deleted them from group chats and stopped inviting them over.https://nyti.ms/2IC0FH3

Doesn't sound to me like these students who want to stop kids being sacrificed to gun lobbyists have lost anything important, honestly. I'm proud of them for standing up for America's kids.

All over rural America, Daniel Boone culture thrives. They’re targeted by NRA @ birth. We’ve got to change this culture to one of safety. They fear we’re threatening 2A. Fueled by anger! Can’t see the middle ground to common sense gun laws. THIS 👇🏻👇🏻 #Gunsensepic.twitter.com/DE9jleJ3tj

We live in a nw Columbus, OH suburb w nationally top-ranked high schools & a highly educated population. It’s spans 3 county lines. We’re in Union Co., a mostly rural demo that’s gaining more suburbanites. I continue to fight for change & common sense gun laws. @MomsDemand

Sounds like you have a limited exposure to Kentucky. I grew up in Los Angeles and currently live in one of the 2 largest cities in the state and have lived in a rural section and have seen your description as a minuscule minority of people here. Bigot

I receive similar backlash in rural Iowa. But I will never let it stop me from standing up for what is right.

So proud of these teenagers from my home state. Keep fighting, y’all! We will persist and vote and win this one, eventually. #GunReform #enough #kiakaha #bluewave In other news, Kentucky’s backwards ways never cease to embarrass me. 🤦🏼‍♀️

It is your opinion they are right, doesn’t mean they are actually right. By your logic anyone who gets push back for a position is right even if they are wrong.

It is my opinion that they’re right. I can see no justification for allowing ordinary citizens to possess handguns and semi-automatic weapons, especially with the climbing rate in school shootings. It’s time for the madness to end.

So you want to take away handguns and all semi automatic weapons? And just what do you think citizens should be allowed to have for self defense?

        1. Most violent crimes are complete before police arrive. The fact you are from Canada explains everything as you just don’t understand the purpose behind the second amendment here. You enjoy your culture we will stick with ours that we fought for.

You’re right, we do come from different backgrounds, and I don’t know all I should know about the 2nd amendment. What I do know is that America has the highest number of school shootings on the 🌎, and it’s somewhat preventable, but you won’t prevent it. Pity the children

No what we won’t do is sacrifice our rights and freedoms when there are other solutions. So sick of liberals making the claim that unless we don’t do it their way we don’t care. THAT attitude is why there will never be compromise and why liberals are not takin serious
