Death squads killed in his name. The U.S. demonized him. Now, Moktada al-Sadr has become an anticorruption champion whose “Iraq First” message appeals to voters across religious divides.https://nyti.ms/2Iyyxo9

If Moqtada Al Sadr decides to bridge the sectarian gap, and work for peace he will be an angel for a ravaged Iraq. Hope he has ditched his past, and has started a new career on a peaceful mission. May he be successful in his new endeavor.

Well, the U.S. gave the Shiites a free pass when they invaded. And Iran is the biggest Shiite player in the Middle East and now influences Iraq. This should illustrate how dumb the Iraq invasion was.

@nytimes, I’m curious: why don’t you just convert your headquarters building into a mosque? Would be a great look for you all.

Hopefully Allah touched al-Sadr and opened his mind and removed his hatred. He hated Americans because we are Americans, now he has to shake our hands and get to know us.
