Death is often the price of #globalization
There's no way a small farmer can make it ANYWHERE! The huge corporations are the money makers here
Don't be fooled! #Farming is a tough and dirty grind of a job! They feed all of us! #Respect #Equality #MentalHealth #FarmLife

Welp as an Aussie I am pretty sure I know a few reasons why -.-
-
Two main ones.
-
I’m American & curious. What would those be?
-
Many reasons. The price of milk has been driven down due to big corporations having control of groceries, climate change - drought but in general, lower rainfall is making things more and more difficult. There aren't adequate mental health facilities in such remote areas either.
-
Well, the grocery store duopoly was the thing i beleived most responsible, but the rest is spot on too.
-
Haha yeah I tried to fit grocery duopoly in my tweet but couldn't. Their price war is not ok. Esp because they try to make you think they support farmers. They don't. They hurt them!
-
It’s crazy. I mean absolutely crazy. Greed over everything. Again.

Because globalisation is not a success story and there are many victims, far more often than not from the very countries subscribing to the idol of globalisation

Its the large hegemonic corporations that arent giving small-owning farmers a chance to compete. Liberal trade has done wonders but consumers need to stop buying produce from large farms and start supporting smaller farms. Stop blaming the system and take responsibility for once

They're a success because they have so much natural resources to exploit? That's lucky and short sighted.

Corporate greed & Incompetent Government plus marginalised poor land subject to drought is often responsible for these deaths People are hung out to dry Aging population expected to continue working without adequate support

Sorry, I’m a liberal. But there’s no such thing as a “globalization success story.” In fact just the opposite. Overpopulation has turned us into a tribal pressure cooker, while Brexit and Trumpism have normalized intolerance.
