Wrong. Plenty of people in Texas demanding common sense gun laws. Gun owners, too, demanding common sense gun laws.

When a country with less than five percent of the world's population has nearly half of the world's privately owned guns and makes up nearly a third of the world's mass shootings, it's time to stop saying guns make us safer.

Its new motto should be: Texas: where we like our guns more than our kids.

You can change that to America. It’s not just Texas. That’s the sad part.

Good grief! It’s not “anti-gun” to demand some common sense. What the hell is wrong with us? 4% of the world’s population own 42% of the world’s guns, and are scared of conversation.

Texas is so backwards, they should just be cut off from the rest of the country. They're an embarrassment to the rest of us.

Perhaps you shouldn’t judge as a whole. Isn’t that the whole problem of us vs them in this country? I know my friends are for gun control. And they definitely don’t want to keep teaching if they have to carry.

Fair enough, but the vast majority of Texans seem to be anti-gun control and rabidly pro-Trump, or else the reasonable ones just aren't speaking up.

Wait! I thought you said assault rifles were the problem? So maybe the rifles aren't the problem?? Could it be your entire narrative is wrong? Maybe guns aren't the problem after all.

Depends on the community. We have a strong rural/urban divide here. On balance Texas is quite conservative, but it's sharply divided, not homogenous.

How true , the super geniuses running the state think that less doors at school is the answer. They are living on a barge in denial. In Texas, guns are as American as buying off your Congressmen or closing down an abortion clinic. 28 million red necks can’t be wrong !
