School shootings are so common that students talk in frighteningly practical terms about the location of doors and windows in their classrooms as risk factors. They calculate escape routes. And they ponder hiding spots in wide-open rooms.https://nyti.ms/2wVCCxn

My 8- and 10-year-old are very aware of the risk of being gunned down in school. What the hell has this country turned into?

Our current government's pockets are lined with NRA money. All they have to offer us are "thoughts and prayers". What we need is to vote them out and get real gun reform in our country.

Try bringing a weapon into a federal court, an airport, or any government building on Capitol Hill. We protect judges, presidents, and members of Congress like they were irreplaceable. Yet we cannot protect the youth of our nation? Attacks on the NRA? How about REAL solutions?

At this rate, American Schools should have regular school shooting safety drills.

Thanks. I can imagine the amount of anxiety kids in schools go through daily. Not knowing when and where next school shootout will be.

You may have missed my sarcasm in that, BUT they never do anything to help anyone. They blame everything on something else except the prevalence of guns in society.
