Maybe if we didnt turn the shooters into celebrities in a society that feeds off of fame and the most recent generation can't handle any type of failure we would be better of. It's not a gun problem, it's a respect for life problem.

...it’s looks a whole lot like a gun problem

Looks can be decieving. Look deeper into the statistics and you'll see. Not every statistic is relevant in raw numbers nor is every statistic relevant as raw numbers.

In Brazil we fear children on the streets at night, in the United States in schools, the world is lost.

Parents in America are more worried about the safety of their children attending schools , colleges & universities than those parents whose children are in the armed forces of America. When will these shoot outs come to complete halt till then may GOD protect these children.

Does anyone want to point out that lining the kids up in an open field when there’s an active shooter isn’t the best strategy

I live in Germany and in all my life, I've never felt unsafe or the need to protect my home by owning a gun. If my children had to be afraid every day of getting shot in school, while trying to learn what they need to know, I'd move to another country in no time.
-
I'm leaving the USA. If I plan to have children, there is NO way I'm having them in this dump. Americans are idiots. They just tune this out, like it will never happen to them. But having it happen to your children is just ridiculous.
-
Well, I really hope it doesn't, but if it keeps going at this rate, chances are high, that it actually might happen to you or at least in your city. I just don't get why Americans can't seem to understand, that lots of shot people might a result of having too many guns.
-
It's not 'Americans', it's SOME Americans who have a vested financial interest in the gun industry. Empires keep their elites in power by any means necessary and the US is no different. Why does Germany stay in NATO with such a clearly insane superpower leader? Similar question.
-
Yes, sorry. I wasn't trying to generalize. But I've talked to a few Americans about gun laws recently and it seemed to me, that even the slightest mention of getting of rid of some guns made them feel personally insulted.
-
Many Americans on opposite sides don't even talk to each other. I live in a big liberal city, and our opinions are far different than the people you talked to. Some American cities have strong gun control, but the laws mean nothing because rural areas sell guns freely. It's nuts.
