And where's your evidence to the contrary?
-
That's not the evidence in question. If it's true, great. But what we're discussing is how mass shootings in the U.S. compare to other nations. Follow along, please.
-
Are u trying to make the arguement that they don’t occur in other countries, or simply exist at a level you’re more comfortable with? On the flip side, do you have any idea how many times firearms are used successfully each year in the U.S. defensively and actually saved lives?
-
For every article you can link where a gun "saved a life," I can link 5 where a toddler killed someone with a gun.
-
Oh really? Not even close. And that’s the problem, you’re “thinking” instead of analyzing the real data. And that’s why we can’t have any honest discussions on guns. Too many arguing from a place of emotion and ignorance and not fact.pic.twitter.com/n2UX0Bt4TB

I checked the Forbes article on the right and as expected, the "statistics" quoted there come from a man named Gary Kleck. His work has been thoroughly debunked. Here's some info on it:https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/01/defensive-gun-ownership-myth-114262 …

I like considering how little intelligence it takes to realize that more guns will result in more shootings.

Eric, I am in a pool. Why am I always so wet?
-
I have no idea. Must be video games.
-
Maybe my pool has too many ladders in and out.

Wrong, the mass killings in USA are a result of mental issues of the shooters. Guns are only a tool. Igual there were no guns available the killers would use knives or swords or stones. Studies on psychological issues could lead to the real motivation to kill.
-
The problem with this argument - which I too have made myself in defense of rights - is that if we know there is a mental health crisis, why are we still openly distributing weapons? Would you leave the armory at the asylum open to patients?
-
This, plus I find the headline "mentally ill person with rock kills dozens" less than credible.
-
This "argument" also overlooks the really simple point that people in other countries have mental illnesses, too

I'm old enough to remember
@realDonaldTrump first act as potus was an EO rolling back rules prohibiting the mentally ill to purchase guns-#NRA
payoff to be sure -
One of the very first EOs. I remember because I just could not understand the reasoning behind it.
