A judge released the names of the jurors who convicted Bill Cosby of sexual assault last month, saying he had waited to do so because he wanted to give the jurors a "cooling off" period to return to their liveshttps://nyti.ms/2KzF9iL

So these jurors did their civic duty and were involved in a high profile case and now they potentially have targets on their backs? Jurors should always have the right to be anonymous! Add this to the list of reasons our judicial system is screwed!

What is the point of releasing juror identities? Jurors should have the option for complete anonymity.

At some point, governments/courts will have to weigh how releasing juror identities weighs against citizens' willingness to serve on juries at all & how it may be impact deliberations. Who wants public backlash from convicting Dr. Huxtable?

I'm assuming this falls under some type of transparency law? Isn't their safety more important?

Jurors should remain anonymous for their safety. Did anyone think these jurors WON'T be harassed?

Did this judge send police protection to these people, since there are a lot of folks obsessed with celebrities to the point that they'll murder people who crossed their beloved celebrity?
