"My white friend gets uncomfortable and says defensive things, like: 'It’s not my fault I’m white,' as if we were criticizing her. … What should I say when she makes statements like these?"https://nyti.ms/2KAQvTN

I could really feel that we had turned a corner until 2008. Then that shitheal, B.O. got elected and proceeded to set race relations back 40+ years with the full support of the Buggy-Whip, Legacy MSM. That's his true legacy.pic.twitter.com/ex1C6rzVSD

Wow...They say hurting people hurt people. You have soooo much hatred and rage. Someone must really have hurt you deeply and I am really sorry that they did. I sincerely hope you are able to heal some day. All the best!

I hate B.O. because he hurt the country. I hated his lies: "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor..." And his point man on health care, Jonathan Gruber, admitted those lies were deliberately intended to deceive the American public. But now Trump has BOs pen & phone :)

I get that you don’t like BO, but is it really necessary to hate him. I disagree with much of what President Trump does and says, but I will never hate him. United we stand but divided we fall as a country.

Obama is just one of many politicians I hate. It's a long list and includes lots of Republicans. But in my 'real life' there is no one I hate. So for better or worse my hate is contained to matters involving politics and that is a small part of my life.

How about saying “sorry you are uncomfortable. We aren’t blaming you or anyone else. Just talking about our experiences. You are our friend we accept you as you are.”

The whole point is that it is nobody's fault they are wearing any particular color skin. Nobody got to chose, nobody gets to change, really. We should all respect that fact and ignore skin color. When you must address a fellow human's color, you be respectful by not prejudging.
