I'm sobbing. 24/7, 365 for the last 5 years. And chronic/frequent migraine for 15 yrs before that. My entire life has been taken over by this neurological disease. This is sooner than my dr & I hoped it would be available. We've been following these drugs for years. Finally!

Sooo happy for You! I get enough migraines to make me want to give up sometimes. I can't imagine having them with them with the frequency that you do. I hope it changes your life.

-
It's been particularly difficult over the last few months. I'm at my lowest depression point & highest anxiety point. I don't know how much longer I could have waited. I only hope my dr agrees with me & my insurance covers it. Thank you for the well wishes! I wish you well, too!

This might change my F*%**g LIFE! Finally!
-
Mine too, it’s price is quite high, let’s hope than in time, it could be cheaper.
-
I wake with them sometimes and can't do much about that right now. My biggest issue seems to be this full-sun, activity induced migraine, which I can feel happening. All through my school life i'd puke after recess and P.E. It was awful.
-
Sorry to read that, mines are stress related, bad weather related (if a storm or cold front is coming), and food related. Coconut and coconut oil are kryptonite for me.
-
Ah! I do get storm system related indications also. For some reason though, the weather primarily causes my teeth to ache. Migraine and tooth pain is like a vacation in a sewer system!

Just stop eating processed carbohydrates and drink enough water. Booom headaches gone son!
-
This is a medicine for people who have tried everything and who still have migraine attacks all the time. One the reasons why ppl with migraine feel so misunderstood is because so many people think that treatment is as easy as water and small diet modifications. Please...

Then I apologize

Thanks. Much appreciated.

What say you,
@xa329 ? -
The group of monoclonal antibodies that block the CGRP pathway look great in manufacturer trials. The first one or two should get UK/EU approval to market later this year, but unclear what the NHS patient cost may be before NICE gets to recommending them.
-
A monthly injection solves the forgetting your daily medicine problem. Maybe patients can self administer like diabetics inject their own insulin? Needs some caution, non-antibody attempts to block pathway had very bad side-effects.
-
I need something will solve my can't-afford-to-pay-$6900-a-year problem
-
Yeah, I don't understand US health care but $6900 is much more expensive than quarterly Botox. I can't see it getting wide use in the UK (NHS or private) in the short term.

Seems to good to be true.. will it give me suicidal thoughts and acidic diarrhea as well?
-
It says it has almost no side effects but yeah, too good to be true.... that’s why it costs a fortune!
