Betting may give the NFL a better chance of reversing 2 years of declining TV ratings than any marketing campaign that emerges from the league’s headquartershttps://nyti.ms/2KzbeHg

As most Americans struggle to stay above water financially the government opens the doors to more gambling opportunities this is called heartless wreckless and will ultimately lead to self destruction

True yet most are kept out of the game due to barriers to entry...sports gambling will bring all the unqualified and ill prepared to the game

I refuse to support the NFL mainly because of the rapes, domestic abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, animal abuse, attempted murder, & even murders should NEVER be accepted, tolerated, & covered up by the league. No thanks.

Eliminating the rule changes that made the games boring to watch, along with being unabashedly patriotic is what would fix their woes. That and dealing with the fact that so many players turn out to be violent criminals.

Was this really worth highlighting? Everyone has their interests, but this isn’t all that important/affects the public in a detrimental way

Yeah, in the 21st century with the internet people just aren't interested in canned national football leagues anymore. If you like football, watching the down-to-earth visceral combat between rival schools with normal human beings is just better.

Why does every state & organization see "gambling" as the solution to their money woes? There is something just plain wrong about that thinking, on many levels. More like an excuse than rational thought.
