Awarded? Bachelors degrees are earned though.

Awards are generally earned. Not synonymous with "gift"

That's the thing about US. It wants to stop being racist but they just sink in more into racism. If you wanna stop being a racist just stop talking about "black people". They are not "black students" they are just students and this shouldn't be an article at all.

aaaand this is the issue, for most black people speaking about race openly is acceptance and signifies improvement for you and others, we should ignore race and historically thats problematic...

Yeah but I think it all starts with classism. If I see you on the street and say "hey there's a black dude" is not the same if I say "hey there's a dude". With all due respect

I get what you saying and I agree to some extent, but when there isn’t equality it’s irresponsible to not track and report , it’s a social obligation. Otherwise marginalized ppl will be even more marginalized and under represented

That's entirely true man. Totally agree. Idk what else to say about this though, just that I'm 100% against racism. I fucking hate it and I think that racist people are the most idiotic in the universe

Georgia State is in Atlanta. We go to college. Awarded? No. We went to college and earned degrees. No need to boast. Black people can go to college and graduate. #offs

In 1953 my dad was turned away from Georgia Tech and given a scholarship from them to go anywhere else because he was black. He went on to earn a Phd in Chemistry from Caltech using GA taxpayer money to pay for his education. Glad the state has gotten a little smarter.

All this BS story for a part time job at UPS? No wonder no one reads this rag. Read more like a white guilt story.
