A Dallas restaurant defied the NRA and was boycotted during its national convention. Now the restaurant has given $15,000 to a grass-roots gun safety group.https://nyti.ms/2GeeBRm

Good for this restaurant - true moral leadership is becoming exceedingly rare among businesses. I wish them well.

I love that the response to “restaurant donates money to gun control group” is “white kid used a gun to kill scary black people.” That totally makes Parkland, Orlando, Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, San Bernardino, and all of the other mass shootings worth it.

        1) When Cain killed Abel he had no gun. 2) "Gun control" seeks to disarm the people against totalitarian globalism while appearing as benign prudence. 3) Human nature manifests independent of technology; bare hands, rock, knife, or bullet. 4) Christianity changes minds for good.

        1. If Cain had a gun Adam, Eve and their sister-wives would be dead. 2. Gun control seeks to save innocent lives. It works. 3. When was the last time a person committed a multiple homicide at a school with bare hands, rock or knife? 4. SOME minds for good, some minds for evil.

So what your saying is loss of one life is acceptable. What is your number when it becomes unacceptable?

Your premise is "gun control" is prophylactic to "loss of one life". But prohibition of guns, knives, rocks, etc. are not prophylactic. As General MacArthur said "The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence and improvement of human character"

Thankfully countries like Australia didn’t consult the words of Gen. McArthur. We simply applied common sense and set out to lower gun-related deaths. This was achieved through legislation. You may want to put down your thesaurus and read verified research.

McArthur was speaking about Americans. You can not compare Americans and Australians. The moral fiber is different. Additionally, Australians do not live and abide by the Constitution of the United States. The very document that makes up what America is. So to compare is futile

        1) One commonality among the 5 Anglo Brothers (UK, Can, Oz, NZ, US) is tenacity or "I Hold On" https://youtu.be/zV40NzkqJrw  "Made in England" https://youtu.be/atMaDsDFTds  2) The Australian Constitution reads in parts like a copy of the U.S. Constitution. 3) The 5 are more alike than not.

It’s our differences that make us Americans. If not then we would still be English.
