People aren't getting that she's satirical, probably because they're not reading the article and just want to get mad. *facepalm*

I find it hilarious that these females today don't understand how makeup is and has always been just an enhancer of your natural beauty. You aren't suppose to transform into a completely new person.

People can do whatever they want with makeup, though.

Of course they can however makeup, primarily, was for enhancing not transformation. That men these have stated "take them swimming" girls are doing whatever they want with makeup. Reason why many women nowadays are talking be natural. HA!

Apparently you've not read up on the history of makeup. Grecians in 3000 BC painted their faces white. How about in Africa when people painted their faces ritualistically? I could go on, but the point is that people can and have been wearing makeup however/whenever they want.

I don't need to read up on history of makeup for me to know makeup has always been a enhancer of beauty. Africans wore makeup as war expression not transformation.

It's still makeup, and some wore it, and still do, as self expression. Either way, her point that this policing of how and when people wear makeup is bullshit. Mind your own business.

Trust. I was minding my own business. I read the article and thought it was crass to even be written. To have an announcement why women want to stop wearing makeup; just stop. The way females do it today makes them look like clowns.

It is more important that a man know who you are minus the makeup. I know women who sleep in makeup. That’s insanity. My husband saw me totally without makeup while we were dating. Enough of the fake world we live in.
