Which is weird because I watched white people openly smoking weed IN FRONT of cops in Greenwich Village, Lillie's Victorian, and other places all over Manhattan on my last trip up there... I actually asked people if it was legal and was told cops don't care...

Yes, it's only been 3 years that non violent poorer people in America no matter what their race is being locked up on bogus drug charges for the purpose for the wealthy & politicians in Washington to profit off peoples incarceration. At least media wrote 1 story on it. Congrats

Black people are arrested more because they commit more crimes. That doesn’t make all black people bad but it also doesn’t make all cops racist.

That simply isn't true. White and black people use marijuana at roughly the same rate, yet black people are arrested for it FAR more often, and serve much, much longer prison sentences for it. It's clear systemic racism. Saying it isn't is being willfully ignorant.

Is marijuana legal in NYC? No Do cops arrest ppl for breaking the law? Yes If you don't break the law can cops arrest you? Not legally So what's the best way not to get arrested regardless of skin color? Don't break the FN law!

That would be a fine argument if white people and black people were getting arrested equally for the same crime, yet that's not what's happening. When white people commit this crime, nothing happens to them. Only black people are getting arrested in large numbers. That's racism.

More police presence in poor crime prone black neighborhoods, therefore more police interaction & arrests. Still boils down to one simple solution. Don't break the law.

If marijuana were legal: non-weed smokers would distance from nonstop weed smokers &there would be a popularity 2 not smoke it&4 it to be illegal. But its a waste of police resources, becomes a tool for intimidation& incarceration can make violent criminals.
