"Given his pressure on Beijing on trade, I don't understand his concern for Chinese jobs," a technology and security expert said about President Trump. It "goes against the steady stream of security warnings about ZTE," he added.https://nyti.ms/2GeBc0i

If you assume that Trump is actively sabotaging our country, this action makes perfect sense.

Toys r us bankruptcy will cost 30,000 jobs. Trump did ntg. But he wants to create jobs in china. Maybe to smooth things over after the tarrifs. Trump n kids' products all made in china. What is pay off for trump? There's always self-dealing and emoluments violations somewhere.

Considering NYT opposed each and every POTUS Trump foreign policy and trade victory, it is reasonable the NYT would not understand POTUS's concern for Chinese jobs-but even a 6th grade math student would.

I wonder if it has anything to do with China loaning Trump Org. $500 million for a new building project in Indonesia.

ZTE have a long history of bribing corrupt politicians. They did it in west Africa, Mongolia, Malaysia, the Philippines, etc..

Why such an abrupt change by #trump ? 1. China holds the key to an agreement with North Korea. 2. In Chinese interest for ZTE to be in US market; espionage tactic, see NSC experts 3. Trump only cares about political wins and Xi knows this #zte #china
