Have been watching this unfold across time, but there's still a heart connection with those rare few that remains, regardless of time and space separation, enhanced in person.

I have noted with a sobering concern that many people fail to understand what intimacy is. We have forgotten how to do it and become disabled at creating it. What’s worrying is that at our core we are social beings. Intimacy is a need to be met if we are to be happy.

"Best Friends" is basically code for your Saturday is destroyed, because guess who's helping someone move up three flights of stairs in 102 degrees of heat...you are.

        1) Personally, I don't consider anyone that I don't have a regular three-dimensional relationship with a friend. Social Media relationships are; essentially by definition, two-dimensional. And disposable. 2) The increased quantity of "interaction" on the internet is the business.

Real friendships, can exist without REAL communications. The social media era, is not enhancing human communication in real terms. Maybe.....given to people, the ‘illusion’ of real communications only, when in fact are hollow.

No it can’t. If I knew that one of my social media “friends” chewed with their mouth open, I’d drop them like a hot potato. There are things one can only experience with REAL communication... like body language, tone, and nonverbal cues.

Nothing can equate, with REAL human communications, that are the result of interactions at different levels. In a consumeristic society, in that everything is subject of commercialisation, corporations as Facebook, have manipulated privacy, one important element of communication
