yep, both my mom and my daughter have traveled on into the mystic. I just hole up at home on mothers day so I don't bumm people out by bursting into tears when they say happy mothers day.

I was only eight when I lost my mom to cancer, but I still share stories as much as I can. She was a beautiful, wonderful woman and many people still talk about her to this day. I was blessed to have her for eight years, and now my own daughter is named after her. ❤️

I am an uneducated Japanese of humble means, I hope I don't sound offensive. My mother was a concubine and when she died in 2009, other concubines flocked around our version of altar. "My mother is dead" has been repeated amongst the children and more expected.

I feel the same way about being dumped by a partner who I thought was in it for the long haul. Navigating loss is damn maze with no map.

👎There's NOTHING funny about pushing an article like this on Mother's Day. You're not that funny or articulate but, having said that, I doubt anyone ever could be. Your mother being dead isn't terrible news to me. I can only wonder why she didn't die from embarrassment sooner.pic.twitter.com/2ATepMvwRK
