This is not a dessert! This is a thing of beauty that should be filled with beef and vegetables. Or sausage and mash. It is a Yorkshire pudding.pic.twitter.com/Nxf6syE6sq

My grandad used to have Yorkshire pudding with gravy on for afters... Us kids had it with lashings of golden syrup - but don't tell the sugar police that!

Fluffy pancake ? It's a YORKSHIRE PUDDING, don't even think of calling it anything else, especially in Yorkshire. I am spitting feathers right now

No, they are not the same. British Twitter can spit all the feathers they want, but Dutch babies have been around for a very long time (despite @nytimes & @Nigella_Lawson seemingly having just discovered them)

Yorkshire puddings are easily the best food item ever invented and I can’t believe there are people who haven’t tried them. Beef Yorkies and gravy 😍😍

My mother in law made excellent Yorkshire pudding. Learned it from her mother, born in Bolton. But different from my mother's beakfast Dutch baby!

Bolton is not in Yorkshire. They aren’t as good outside of Yorkshire.
