@sineadgleeson claiming that @junotdiaz “verbally sexually assaulted” her is one of the most asinine things I’ve ever read. It needs to be acknowledged that there are degrees of bad behavior. @junotdiaz sounds unpleasant to be around, but he’s hardly a Weinstein.

I hope that at least one member of the literary community will be brave enough to defend Junot Diaz in an op-ed. Please read the stories published by most of the accusers before lighting up the torches @washingtonpost @NewYorker The wording used to push assault is appalling

Sexual harassers and predators of other kinds rarely make good coworkers. Aside from the (seemingly? maybe not?) obvious fact that their coworkers’ wellbeing and performance are equally important (or SHOULD be), there’s this to consider:https://hypatia.ca/2017/07/18/the-al-capone-theory-of-sexual-harassment/ …

1st of all, allegations are only that. It would make some sense if they're found guilty. Otherwise, is fucking up themselves just in case. 2nd, supposing they do have coworkers (it's not always the case), the damage that cause such accusations to their reputation can free those

predated to change places and/or accuse openly them. So, no need for resignation (or dismissal, for that case). And resigning is almost declaring themselves guilty. I don't get how it helps them. As a token of good will from then on? Because of pressure from their contractors? Or

is it a concealed dismissal? As for the theory, looks good. Good idea to research related misbehaviors. (Reading the article, it seems that sexual predation is linked to testosterone to me, an "alpha male" thing). But it is only a theory. Not guilty until declared otherwise, you

know: it's a RIGHT. Don't be so haughty as to treat me as if I was a fool. It is a widespread pattern between Unitedstaters and other WASP-founded nations' citizens. You don't want more hate against you than what you already have. China and Rusia are looking good for many now.
