In Opinion Op-Ed columnist @Edsall writes, "Should taxes on households making $250,000 or more a year be raised? When you ask Democrats this question, you get a very interesting answer."https://nyti.ms/2G4iOqJ

Why not focus on spending less? its pretty obvious that countries cant afford their governments anymore, thus govt debt growing to insurmountable amounts in most countries around the world.

DOD sucks up over half the budget, now. US spends as much on "defense" as the rest of the planet combined. Furthermore, DOD has _never_ been audited. #trickledowndoesntwork #sad #MakeAmericaBrokeAgain

Maybe don’t ask people about tax rates based on income. Ask if they’d rather have paid family leave, or universal healthcare (-> more take-home pay), or pay teachers a fair wage. For some reason, people go nuts when they think you’re punishing success” -most don’t see bigger pic.

Why do you present wanting to raise taxes as "redistributive agenda?" and "supporting policies antithetical to their economic interests?" Do you know that raising taxes has other benefits that's not always quantifiable? How dare you pay a fair share while helping revenues.

It's also no surprise that conservative-led States are reducing public education standards in hopes of keeping educated voters from the ballot box. Reject climate change? Well, strip it from school curriculum's so we can pass doubt on the science we don't like.
