Haspel was simply not believable in her statements about not torturing in the future or that Trump wouldn’t demand she do so. She really gave off a dishonest vibe to me. Not to be trusted.
All she agreed to was not to Torture like the GW Bush administration did.
And we know that if Trump is vetting her thst her promise doesn’t mean anything.
Why would anyone believe anything this woman says?
As a Brit proud of my country for being allies of the US for so long in both our darkest hours, I'm deeply disappointed in and saddened by our American friends for legitimising torture after 9/11 :(
