Hey, kid? Yeah, you... who happens to attend a #Mormon church: you don't have to listen to church officials. You want to go to/stay in Scouts? Go right ahead; you don't need their permission. (Nor do you need exclusionary, divisive teachings but that's my opinion.)

I'm an Eagle Scout who's OK with this. My impression was that Mormon-affiliated troops were often used as a way to bring honor to the church more than to prepare boys for leadership and life skills. Too often these troops were Eagle factories that got kids lost or hurt.

Eagle Scouts and merits are driven by the parents not the organization, either Boy Scouts or Mormon church, you are projecting

Troop committees must by rule have a representative from the charter org (host), who appoints the troop committee chair, who appoints the rest of the committee. Cmtee oversees management of troop. To say that the church has no input in troop function, badges, or eagles is naive.

The Mormon faith just needs another 1600 years to simmer before everyone starts buying their BS, right fellow Christians? Our magic is real-er than their magic!

Good. Religion should have nothing to do with Scouts (unless you’re teaching them how to be a decent human being and tolerate people’s religion or lack there of).
