While waiting for the bus at night a scary person approached me and took my wallet out of my handbag. I was terrified so I didn't move. I guess I didn't get robbed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you want to have sex with someone and they want to have sex with you then you're good to go. If you're not 100% sure, ask. If you don't get a straight answer/don't get an answer at all/get told anything other than a definite and enthusiastic yes then don't do it. Simple right?

Wrong. Asking the other person if they want to have sex goes against sexual tension. Amateurs ask. The dance between the two people, if they know what they are doing and know how to read the signs, doesn’t need any asking.

People who care about the comfort and safety of their partners ask. I don't know about you but "tension" is the last thing I want to feel when I'm having sex. If you mean "passion" then that's very different. There's nothing more passionate than knowing your partner wants you.

Yes that’s what I mean by sexual tension (passion). My point is you should know your partner/prospect wants you, they would have telegraphed that information to you via non verbal clues. Asking someone if they want sex because you don’t know if they do? That’s amateurism.

There's this scene in 13rw where Hannah and Clay were madly kissing and the tension and everything, but Clay still paused for a second and asked "is this okay "?? She said it's more than okay.. ☺

I don’t trust Hollywood to teach me how it all works. How many clichés such as the geeky guy who ends up getting the hot girl in the end because she realises her chad boyfriend was a douche. My viewpoint is based in my experience. If you’re 18 and know nothing sure you can ask.

We have all sort of non verbal ways to communicate. So how can we make sure everyone involved feels safe, without making the whole process just a complete turn off and bore. And so I’m advocating developing skills to read the situation and act accordingly and responsibly, and fun

I don't know if it makes me sad, angry (or both) to know that more than one country's judges (Spain and Australia) can't understand that, sometimes, protection of oneself is linked to "allowing" the act. It's not passivity, it's panic, it's survival.

How many times have women (under these circumstances) tried to defend themselves physically and have ended up raped anyway, but also severely injured or dead? #NoMeansNo

Well, do you care to explain more? Here how a guy mind normally works: It seems dangerous, I should leave. But when it comes to women, you always hear I wss afraid afterwards. Look at this case, 18, drunk, alone accept an invitation to the"VIP area" I mean these were all cont.

Red flags. So, do you care to explain why she didn't just excuse herself way earlier than all of this?

Ok, she's young. Ok, she has drunk too much. Ok, she's invited into a VIP area. Should she think there has to be sex involved? What you are saying is that all women should stay away from alcohol and parties just because there will be chances of getting raped.

Who is the fellon here? The woman - who wants to have a nice time drinking, partying, having sex if she wants to - or the man - who thinks that just because she finds herself in this predicament she should be up for it?

Take the Weinesten thing, supposedly most actors new he is a creep, still they meet with him alone and went up to his hotel room. I'm just saying that teaching people how to protect themselves is more important than finding who is there to blame.

I agree with you there (also, as a woman, if I had suffered an attack like those I would have told any other women I happen to cross paths with). It's disturbing how much silence and guilt and shame is still going on in these cases. Therefore, no amount of red flags (1)
