Trying to prosecute hundreds of people per year is a waste of taxpayer funds. Turn them around & send them back as quickly as they are caught. Increase penalties on Mexico for letting them cross their borders. Draining our federal budget when it is already strapped is no answer.

I feel like I must be living in Nazi Germany. This is so disgraceful. And anyone who wants to try to tell me these people are “breaking the law” should can it. Unless you are 100% Native American you have no right e pressing that POV.

I am just horrified by America's treatment of people, people in need. People who need help. Families and children. Don't give me your poor, don't give me your tired, your weak.... This whole "america" thing is not working out.

We can have a conversation about Mexico. And that does not prevent us from having a conversation about the way the american government is treating people seaking asylum. These are seperate issues.

Barack Obama’s only serious mistake was not dismantling the DHS. There is no need for it, never was. It was shoved down the throats of paranoid Americans who were told all the world was hunting down their wives and children. Now, DHS is the hunter.

Why do you call illegal immigrants “undocumented?” It’s misleading and implies that there is some “missing document” when in fact they are not authorized by law to be here.

This is absolutely stupid. Prosecute them? To the racist people who think this is ok, why would we spend our tax money to keep them locked up and fed 3 meals a day as opposed to immediately returning them across the border. Which probably would costs us zero.

In 1880s, Supreme Court ruled that aliens, whether here legally or illegally, are “persons”. The Constitution protects all persons from governmental deprivation of life, liberty and property, without due process. Refugees have the right to ask for asylum and not be turned away.
