Notice Trump only cares that "he can't win." He and Mitch have no problem with him being a convicted criminal who ran a deathtrap mine that killed 29 people.

What they need to do as a party is distance themselves from the dangerous and divisive rhetoric that is popularizing these candidates in the first place. There's a cancerous rot in the soul of their party, and if they truly care at all about America, it HAS to be removed.

Their control is based on pandering to the worst of their party, voter suppression, and unfair gerrymandering. They are terrible human beings. For them to act surprised when their nets dredge up a Blankenship is pretty silly.

What does it say about Blankenship if McConnell and Trump are weighing in against him...remember they supported the pedophile in AL. Also, should convicted felons be eligible to run for Congress - just asking?

I don't believe he was convicted of a felony. I mean yeah he murdered those miners but that wasn't the charge against him. #Blankenshit

You’re right, no murder charges, but he was indicted and convicted of conspiring to willfully violate safety standards and was sentenced to one year. I see now that the charge was only a misdemeanor.

Obviously there was a miscarriage of justice somewhere. Almost every Republican running this race references Obama and Hillary in their ads. It's like they think voters live in 2008.

Don't bother, Mitch. Misty President prefers slimeball candidates, even ones like Blankenship who went to jail for knowingly endangering miners' lives. I keep thinking he's sunk to the lowest possible level and he sinks even more.

Just received a robocall that tRump backs Jenkins and urges "West Virginia voters" to do the same. Cool story but I am a registered Democrat in Pennsylvania. Even if I was a WV Republican I would never vote for a #murderer #Blankenshit

That’s because the GOP already has a loyal soldier in corporate Democrat, Joe Manchin. We all know he’s voted with trump more often than not. Just take him into the GOP as one of your own.. we have @paulajean2018 Paula Jean Swearingen who is a Berniecrat and will win.
